Official Rules
NO PURCHASE OR USE OF WIRELESS SERVICE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR USE OF WIRELESS SERVICE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR ODDS OF WINNING.
DATES OF PROMOTION: The "TEKKEN" Sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes") begins at 12:00:01 a.m. Central Time ("CT") on December 3, 2008 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. CT on March 2, 2009 (the "Sweepstakes Period").
ELIGIBILITY: In order to be eligible for entry into the Sweepstakes, you must be a legal permanent resident of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, who are 18 years of age or older with a unique valid Social Security number at the time of entry. Employees and their immediate family members (parents, children, siblings or spouse, regardless of where they live, or persons living in same household, whether related or not) of Namco Networks America Inc. (the "Sponsor") and/or Verizon Wireless, its subsidiaries, and each of their respective parent companies, divisions, affiliates, contractors, subsidiaries, distributors, sales representatives, retailers, advertising and promotion agencies, and any others engaged in the development, production, execution or distribution of this Sweepstakes, including but not limited to, The National Sweepstakes Company (the "Sweepstakes Administrator") herein (the "Sweepstakes Entities"), are not eligible to participate. Sweepstakes is void in Puerto Rico, U.S. territories and possessions outside of the 50 United States, and where restricted or prohibited by law.
HOW TO ENTER: There are two (2) ways to enter:
1.DOWNLOAD VIA PHONE: If you have a Verizon Wireless Handset ("Device"), download the NAMCO TEKKEN mobile game during the Sweepstakes Period to receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes. An entrant will receive one (1) entry for each download. All downloads must be completed no later than 11:59:59 CT on March 2, 2009. You may be charged for each download from your Device according to the terms in your carrier's Service Agreement. Each rate plan may vary, and entrants should review their Service Agreement for information on rate plans and charges relating to your participation in this Sweepstakes.
Limit of one (1) entry per person per day. All downloads must be completed no later than 11:59:59 CT on March 2, 2009.
In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting an entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the Device submitted at the time of entry. The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the Device by the organization that is responsible for assigning the Device. Potential winners may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder. Neither Sponsor nor any Sweepstakes Entity is responsible for any entry that is lost, late, misdirected or undeliverable, whether due to system errors, omissions, interruption, deletions, defects, delay in operations or transmissions, theft or destruction or failures, faulty transmissions or other telecommunications malfunctions, entries not received resulting from any hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, failed, incomplete or garbled computer or telephone transmissions, typographical or system errors and failures, faulty transmissions, technical malfunctions, or otherwise.
2. MAIL-IN ENTRY: To enter without purchasing, send a 3x5 card with the following hand-written information: your first and last name, full physical address, an area code and phone number, and birth date in a postage paid envelope and mail to: "TEKKEN" Sweepstakes, PO Box 10849, Rochester, NY 14610. Limit of one mail-in entry per envelope per person per day. All mail-in entries must be postmarked by March 3, 2009 and received by March 13, 2009 in order to be eligible. All entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor, and will not be acknowledged or returned. Proof of sending or submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, illegible, misdirected or postage-due entries, which will be disqualified. Use of any automated system to submit entries is prohibited and will result in disqualification.
Limit of 91 entries per person regardless of the method of entry for the entire Sweepstakes. Any attempt by any entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different wireless devices, identities, or any other methods will void that entrant's entries and that entrant may be disqualified. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible or misdirected registrations, which will be disqualified.
DRAWING/ODDS: On or about March 20, 2009, prize winners will be selected in a random drawing conducted under the supervision of The National Sweepstakes Co., an independent judging organization, whose decisions are based on their sole discretion and interpretation of these official rules, and are final and binding in all respects. Odds of winning depend upon the total number of eligible entries received.
PRIZES: One (1) Grand Prize of a NAMCO TEKKEN 5 arcade machine will be awarded. Total ARV of Grand Prize is $2,500.
FIRST PRIZE: Five (5) First Prizes of a $100 gift certificate to clubNAMCO will be awarded. Total ARV of all First Prizes is $500.
Total ARV of all prizes is $3,000.
PRIZE RESTRICTIONS: The value of the Prize is taxable as income to the Prize winner. In addition, Prize winner is solely responsible, at his/her own cost, for all matters relating to the Prize, including, but not limited to all applicable federal, state and local taxes as related to the acceptance and use of the Prize. No transfer or substitution of Prize is allowed except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Prize winner is required to comply with any and all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if prize becomes unavailable due to reasons beyond the control of the Sponsor. Potential Prize winners consent to use of his/her name, likeness, biographical information, and voice in advertising worldwide without additional compensation (TN residents will not be required to sign a Release as a condition of winning a prize).
PRIZE CLAIM: All potential sweepstakes winners are subject to verification by Sponsor or Administrator, whose decisions are final AND BINDING IN ALL MATTERS RELATED TO THE Sweepstakes. An entrant is not a winner of any prize unless and until entrant's eligibility has been verified and entrant has been notified that verification is complete. Potential winners must continue to comply with all terms and a condition of these Official Rules and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. All Prizes will be fulfilled within four (4) to six (6) weeks of the drawing date. In the event that a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, the applicable prize will be awarded to an alternate winner by random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries.
GENERAL RULES OF PARTICIPATION: By participating in this Sweepstakes, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges, which are final in all respects and not subject to appeal. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify permanently from this Sweepstakes any entrant it believes has violated these Official Rules. By participating in this Sweepstakes, entrants, and winners release the Sponsor and each and all of the Sweepstakes Entities, from any and all liability, damages or causes of action (however named or described) with respect to or arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes, and/or the receipt or use/misuse of the prizes awarded, including, without limitation, liability for personal injury, death or property damage. Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification from the Sweepstakes. All Sweepstakes materials are subject to verification and are void if (a) not obtained in accordance with these Official Rules and through legitimate channels, (b) any part is counterfeited, altered, defective, damaged, illegible, reproduced, tampered with, mutilated or irregular in any way, (c) are obtained where prohibited, or (d) they contain printing, typographical, mechanical, or other errors. Entrants assume all risk of loss, damage, destruction, delay or misdirection of Sweepstakes materials submitted to Sponsor. In the event any portion of this Sweepstakes is compromised by activities beyond the control of the Sponsor which, in the sole opinion of the Sponsor, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Sweepstakes or this Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to modify, suspend or terminate the Sweepstakes. No payment necessary to enter to win. Winning a prize constitutes permission for Sponsor and its agencies to use winners' names, addresses (city & state), voices and/or likenesses for purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity, for this promotion only, without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. Sponsor may prohibit an entrant from participating in the Sweepstakes or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes by cheating, deception, or other unfair playing practices (including the use of automated quick entry programs) or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants, Sponsor, or Sweepstakes Entities. If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not able to be conducted as planned by causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, then Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY'S FEES) FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.
RELEASE: By receipt of any Sweepstakes prize, winner agrees to release and hold harmless Namco Networks America Inc., and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, advertising/Sweepstakes agencies and each of their respective parent companies and each such company's officers, directors, employees and agents (collectively, the "Released Parties") from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use or misuse of any prize.
DISPUTES: Except where prohibited, entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the United States District Court for the state of California (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes, but in no event attorneys' fees; and (3) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsors in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of California, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of California or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of California.
PRIVACY POLICY: Any entry information collected from the Sweepstakes shall be used only in a manner consistent with the consent given by entrants at the time of entry and with these Official Rules. The entry information is shared with The National Sweepstakes Company for the sole purpose of the selection of and notification to winners, and fulfillment of the prizes.
WINNER'S LIST REQUEST: To receive a winner's list, send a self addressed stamped envelope to: Verizon "TEKKEN" Sweepstakes, PO Box 10505, Rochester, NY 14610. All requests must be received by March 31, 2009.
INDEPENDENT SWEEPSTAKES ADMINISTRATOR: The National Sweepstakes Company, 693 East Ave., Rochester, NY 14607, which is responsible for overseeing the selection of winner and the awarding of all prizes. Its decisions are final and binding regarding the conduct of this promotion.

Verizon Wireless and each of its respective subsidiaries, affiliates, shareholders, officers, directors, agents, representatives and employees are not sponsors of this sweepstakes and will have no liability or responsibility for any claim arising in connection with participation in this sweepstakes or any prize awarded.
This offer shall not be published without the written permission of the Sponsor.
