The arcade hit Dig Dug is back and ready to pump you up on iPhone and iPod touch! In Dig Dug REMIX, play both the original arcade game Dig Dug and a new remixed version with fresh features such as big boss battles, exciting power-up items, and more! Famous enemies, "Pooka" and "Fygar" also appear on t he scene. Dig through the dirt while destroying all enemies using an air pump and rocks! - The initials of the five high scores at the beginning of the game spell out "Namco".
- In a 1997 episode of "The X Files", actor Ken Hawryliw, as he is being dragged away by the Military Police exclaims, "You don't understand... all I did was play Dig Dug! I didn't hack into anybody's computer...".
- In Dig Dug classic, the Galaxian Flagship appears as the bonus vegetable / fruit during Rounds 16 and 17.
- The music for the game show Starcade was inspired from the music for Dig Dug.
- In the video for the song "We Are All Made of Stars" Moby is depicted as a sprite of himself, dressed as an astronaut, is in the middle of a Dig Dug session.
- The main character in Dig Dug is actually named Taizo Hori.

Tips & Tricks
- Score big points by squashing multiple enemies with one rock!
- Pump up an enemy part-way to slow them down while luring them under a rock.
- Attacking with a rock is usually very effective in boss battles (REMIX version).
- You score more points by squashing the enemies with a rock then destroying them with a pump.
- Optimal use of the 6 different power-up items will make it easier to clear the game (REMIX version).
- You'll score more points by destroying the Fygar dragons from the side, rather than from above or below.
