Namco's world famous arcade game, PAC-MAN, returns! Remember all the hours spent munching on the dots? Relive this classic! Chomp a Power Pellet to momentarily turn the ghosts blue. When they're blue you can eat them for bonus points. Gobble up the fruit for extra bonus points. Get an extra life when you reach 10,000 points.

  • PAC-MAN was released in 1980.
  • The name "PAC-MAN" comes from the sound paku-paku, which in Japan, represents the sound one's mouth makes while eating.
  • Guinness World Records has awarded the PAC-MAN as "Most Successful Coin-Operated Game" in 2005. In addition, Guinness World Records: Gamer's Edition 2010 notes that PAC-MAN is the best known of all videogame characters and is recognized by 94% of American consumers.
  • PAC-MAN was designed by NAMCO ex-employee Toru Iwatani.

How to Play

Guide PAC-MAN through the maze; avoid the ghosts while gobbling up all the PAC-dots. Munching on the large Power Pellet allows you to turn the table on the pesky ghosts!

GHOSTS - There are 4 unique ghosts that chase PAC-MAN around the maze.

Blinky - (RED) The fearless leader of the ghosts.
Pinky - (PINK) Smart and good at ambushing PAC-MAN.
Inky - (LIGHT BLUE) Tends to be a little off target, but watch out if he gets close!
Clyde - (ORANGE) The least aggressive of the bunch.

POWER PELLETS - These are the four large blinking dots. If PAC-MAN eats one, the ghosts will turn blue temporarily. During this time you can eat the ghosts and score bonus points!

FRUIT - Different kinds of fruit will appear occasionally. Eat them up for extra bonus points!

WARP TUNNELS - These are located on the left and right sides of the screen. You can use them to jump from one side to the other.
