Mobile QA Tester
The QA Tester's role is to verify that all applications being developed adhere to Namco quality standards. This is verified by both exploratory and structured testing to ensure that all Namco standards, which encompass all carrier (service-provider) standards, are met. Unlike console or other software QA, our production cycles are much shorter, which directly relates to the amount of time that can be spent by a tester on an application.
Responsibilities
- Complete QA checklists accurately and in a timely manner.
- Utilize techniques from console/PC testing to perform exploratory testing on mobile applications.
- Report any bugs in the application(s) being tested.
- Ensure that bug reports are clear and concise, for addition to bug-tracking database
- Conduct other test duties as assigned.
- 40 hours per week with possibility of overtime, hourly pay rate.
Requirements
- Strong interest in handheld and/or console games.
- Prior QA experience, preferably in the mobile or console gaming industries.
- Knowledge of mobile technology a plus.
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Professional manner and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work well in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently.
- Strong attention to detail and strong work ethic.
- Willing to work overtime when necessary.
- College degree preferred.
Availability
Local candidates only. This is a full-time position 10:00am - 7:00pm M-F.
