The goal is to knock out Doomsday Devices on each of the 100+ levels in the game by matching marble colors in sets of three. To finish off the device and move on to the next round, you must also destroy the cleverly-placed, static Control Mechanism that continually allows additional chains to fill the track.
Defense Mechanism:
Move your ship with the left and right and shoot at the Defense Mechanism. Remove the last Defense Mechanism before it reaches the exit. To do so, shoot groups of three or more marbles of the same color. Defense waves will keep coming out until you disable the Control Mechanism.
Control Mechanism:
Shoot a marble of the same color at each control piece until all pieces have been destroyed. This is the only way to entirely disable the Defense Mechanism and stop the stream of marbles from coming out of the loader.
Build up the Rewinder Upgrade first. It will allow you to collect more coins at the end of each level which will allow you to buy additional upgrades.
Study where the colors are on the Control Mechanisms as the level starts, and try to shoot as many as you can when the moving waves of marbles aren't in your way.
Prioritize shooting Control Mechanism marbles over the marbles in the moving Defense Mechanism unless the Defense Mechanism marbles are nearing the exit.
Glance at the receding bar at the bottom of the screen. It lets you know when the next wave of marbles will come out of the loader.
If you haven't collected enough coins to buy a big upgrade for your Sky Patrol ship, you can still use them on smaller upgrades. All upgrades can be bought and sold without losing any value!
