The game contains a total of 27 holes, nine each on three different themed golf courses: United States, Europe and Japan.
Players can choose from a Quick Play Mode, Tournament Mode, Challenges Mode, or Mini-Games Mode.
Four unique golfers, specifically designed for the game, have different strengths and weaknesses in power, vision, patience and roll. Each golfer has their own unique animated expressions based on their performances.
PAC-MAN is the narrator throughout the game, offering game tips, commentary and congratulations for players’ success.
In addition to providing commentary, PAC-MAN, a hidden player, can be unlocked in Quick Play Mode and Tournament Mode once all the mini-games are beaten in the Mini-Games Mode. He can also be played any time in Challenges Mode.
Press [Left] or [Right] to move the Aim Indicator (this determines your shot direction).
To move the camera and view the course, press [1], [3], [7], or [9].
When you are ready to putt the ball, press [OK] -- the power meter appears and begins to move.
Press [OK] once more to stop the meter; this sets the distance the ball will travel and executes the shot.
Roll the ball over Bonus Point Fruit and Coins to collect them.
If you have at least one Coin, you may putt the ball into an arcade machine with a mini-game door.
If you fail an arcade challenge, you still receive points, but your ball will not be teleported closer to the hole.
Strokes over par cost you points! Don’t waste shots going after Fruits you’ve missed.
You can enter an arcade machine as many times as you have coins. Use this to score more points!
Beating a mini-game will help you get closer to the hole. Use this to your advantage!
Sometimes you can earn more points by collecting fruits and playing the mini-games instead of trying to get to the hole under par.
Each character has his or her own set of attributes. Find the character that best suits your golfing style!
Mini-games are determined randomly, but there’s a higher chance of your character’s favorite mini-game appearing.
In PAC-MAN, try turning slightly before reaching the next maze intersection.
In Dig Dug, look out for thin layers of dirt. While you can still inflate enemies from behind the thin dirt wall, you are still vulnerable to Fygar's fire breath.
In Galaxian, the aliens have distinct flight patterns. Figure them out!
