Move your ship around the screen as the Xevious infested landscape scrolls by. Avoid collisions with Xevious ships. Dodge shots from the ships and their ground installations. Shoot the flying Xevious ships and bomb the bases, ground defenses, and underground citadels.
Look out for flags. Bomb them to reveal underground citadels.
Stay near the middle of the screen. This allows you more opportunities to go after targets while providing enough room to evade enemy attacks.
