SAN JOSE, Calif. (May 18, 2005) -- (From E3, Los Angeles May 17-20, 2005) – Namco America Inc., a leading publisher of wireless games and content, announced today plans to release mobile 3D versions of the arcade and console hits, Time Crisis and Ridge Racer.

Time Crisis Mobile and Ridge Racer will be the first immersive 3D games available from Namco America, and will add to the company’s diverse portfolio of mobile games, which also includes the arcade classics, PAC-MAN, Ms. PAC-MAN, Galaga, and Dig Dug.

“With increasing penetration of 3D-enabled handsets, we want to offer consumers access to their favorite arcade titles with best-of-breed graphics,” said Scott Rubin, General Manager of Sales & Business Development for Namco America. “Ridge Racer and Time Crisis Mobile are very popular action titles that will kick off Namco’s entry into the immersive 3D landscape.”

In Ridge Racer, the checkered flag is flying as drivers whip through urban settings to the finish line. Like its console and arcade counterparts, the mobile version features multiple camera angles providing racers with a thrilling, realistic 3D view.

With the safety of the world at stake, players of Time Crisis Mobile dodge enemy fire, chase after multiple enemy targets and upgrade weapons while the clock ticks down. Frantic and action-packed, this first-person shooter features 3D graphics that measure up to the beloved console and arcade versions.

Attendees at E3, the annual videogame tradeshow to be held at the Staple Center in Los Angeles, May 18 thru 20, can preview sneak peek videos of Time Crisis Mobile and Ridge Racer at the Namco booth (#824, South Hall). The games will be available in late-summer 2005.
